Your memories stay yours.

Effective and last updated: August 16, 2026

Memory Camera (the “App”) processes photos, location, and purchase status only when you use the relevant features. Photo editing happens on device. We do not sell personal information, serve third-party ads, track you across apps, or use your photos to train generative AI models.

1. Information we process

Photos

The App accesses content only when you choose a photo, take a photo, or export a creation. Photos are processed on your device for cropping, print effects, stamp layout, thumbnails, saving, and sharing. To make your stampbook available on devices signed in to the same Apple ID, finished stamps, thumbnails, and related editing data may be stored in your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit.

Location and photo metadata

If you grant location access and use a place feature, the App may request a one-time location and use Apple system services to convert it to a city or region for place labels and organization. The App does not continuously track location or use it for advertising. Existing date and location metadata from a library photo is used for date and place organization only after you select that photo.

Purchase information

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The App reads product prices, transaction status, and entitlements supplied by Apple to display your local storefront price, restore purchases, and unlock features. We do not receive your card number or complete payment details.

Support information

Only when you email support or submit an issue do we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you choose to provide. We use that information solely to reply, troubleshoot, and fulfill the support request. Content submitted to GitHub Issues is displayed according to GitHub’s visibility rules, so do not post private photos, receipts, or payment details.

2. How information is used

Information is used only to create, save, organize, sync, and share stamp creations; restore purchases and determine entitlements; provide support when you contact us; and maintain the App’s security, stability, and core functionality.

3. Storage, sync, and retention

The App stores finished stamp assets, thumbnails, and necessary editing information in its on-device container. A successfully saved stamp can therefore continue to display if its original library photo is later deleted. If iCloud is enabled, this content may sync through your private CloudKit database and is protected under Apple’s security measures and terms.

When you delete a stamp, its corresponding app data is removed and the deletion may sync to your other devices through iCloud. When deleting an album, you can keep its stamps or permanently delete the album together with them. Copies already exported to Photos, Files, or another app are not automatically deleted. Support information is retained only as long as needed to handle the request and reasonable record-keeping obligations, then deleted or anonymized.

4. Permissions and choices

You can change camera, photo, and location permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Declining a permission does not prevent unrelated features from working. For example, you can create stamps without location access, but the App cannot retrieve your current place. You can delete stamps and albums in the App, disable iCloud, or manage cloud data through Apple’s iCloud settings.

5. Apple services and third parties

The App uses Apple system services, including Photos, Camera, Core Location, CloudKit, StoreKit, and the system share sheet. Apple’s privacy policy also applies to Apple’s processing. The App currently includes no third-party advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly build advertising profiles about children. Minors should use purchase and sharing features with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can address it.

7. International processing and legal requests

Apple may process iCloud and App Store information according to your Apple ID region and its infrastructure. We respond to valid legal requests only where required by law or necessary to protect users, the public, or the App’s legitimate rights.

8. Changes to this policy

If the App’s information practices change materially, we will update the date on this page and provide additional notice in the App or on its product page where required.
